Three Predictions About AI and Coaching
When I started the Tribe in July 2024, AI was the biggest shift coming for our work, so I made three predictions about its impact on coaching and therapy. Here's how they've played out.
By December 2025, everyone with a smartphone would have a half-decent coach in their pocket.
Status: it arrived in April 2025, eight months early.
AI would hit transactional coaching first, while deep, transformational work would continue to hold its value.
Status: any coaching that can be written down as a technique and run step by step is becoming close to free.
As the world filled up with AI content, value would flow to the people others know, like and trust.
Status: it's happening. Two in three of you told us your clients mostly find you through referrals and word of mouth.
Recommendation Is How Your Clients Find You
That third prediction is where the Tribe 2027 begins. As AI, content and social media change everything around our work, word of mouth will matter more and more. The coaches, change workers, therapists and retreat leaders who thrive will be the ones people recommend.
Recommendations happen in the middle of other people's conversations. Someone who's worked with you, or watched your videos and liked the cut of your jib, is chatting with a friend or a colleague who says, "I've got a challenge with this," or "I need some help with that." If you come to mind in that moment, they send that person your way.
For that to happen, you need something to offer: the grounding you come from, and the difference you make with the people you serve. That's the work we've always done together in the Tribe. And the people around you need to understand what you do and who you help, and to remember you when it counts.
That second part has got harder. Everyone's scrolling, watching and listening to more than ever, so even someone who sat with you last month can forget you in the moment it matters. There's a name for it: digital amnesia. The usual answer is to become a content creator, and that's something we'll never ask of you. You love coaching, and you don't need to trade it in for dancing on TikTok.

When does the Tribe 2027 start?
Mid-November, with the Coaching Language Magic Bootcamp live on Zoom on 14 and 15 November. Join before Friday 6 November and your live ticket is included. Your membership then runs through to mid-November 2027.
How much time does it take?
The heart of it is one live hour a week, with the recording there if you miss one, and two days together in July. Everything else is there for whenever you want it.
What if I can't make Wednesdays at 18:00 UK?
Every Tribe Hour is recorded and stays in your members' area for good, so you can catch up in your own time.
Is there a payment plan?
Yes. You can pay £1,995 in one payment, or spread it across ten monthly payments of £240. VAT is added if you're in the UK.
